Ballet Barre 03:14
Okay, I’m on my way Coming right down to your place On your front lawn, yelling your name Hope I don’t wake all of the neighbors Where did you go? Is anyone home? Am I going crazy? Head on a stake, rehearsing fake remorse Dead for Christ’s sake, soon I will gain control High as the day, the night time will bring a low Feeling irate really does take a toll Oh well, I’m sorry I yelled But I can’t help expressing myself All of my life, I felt so true But all of that died when I met you I’d apologize, but I can’t find the words to use Because I’m back on my shade, from the ceiling to floor I don’t know my own strength, only when I have gone too far You do your own thing, with grace and with perfect form Like a plié at the ballet barre

There is a fire in the Ramada Road cones out amongst rush hour traffic Blocking the world from the fire engines Angry drunk man on the transit Arguing with the universe Stolen dreams, stolen exit Crying out to be saved Calm is the clock amidst all of the commotion

Must Be Nice 03:14
Bow down and you wade into Bow down and you lean into Bow down and you wade into life Found out that you’re straining through A melt down. Don’t break into A countdown to when you say “it must be nice” If you’ve got it all worked out, what’s with the line of questions? Maybe don’t go running your mouth just to condescend If you’ve got something to say, could you please remember There will be a time and a place where I (will/might) pay attention
4.
I’m holding up, I’ll talk the talk I can’t complain. I’m breaking down. I’m old enough, I can’t resist I’m calling it in, I’ll figure it out I’m backing up, I’ve stopped the clock. I’m calling the game. I’ll throw it out I’ll walk it off. I’m on my knees. I’m doubling down, I’m backing out
5.
We’ll never get along, but that’s okay, you’re only my mom You may think I’m such a nice guy, but that’s because I bite my tongue every time It doesn’t take a double knot spy to see right through lies that you said I’m gonna reach you somehow, even if I end up dead Can I get a price check on the shelf-life of this feeling of dread? Well, I guess I kind of like you sometimes, don’t let it get to your head I believe that you’re okay, but there’s a reason for your pain Because you live with no sunlight, like a feral life And when you’re living a dark life, and there’s nothing you can say Well, you never know who will become enemies And now you’re back in town, and you’re backing out You can’t fool me this time, I know It doesn’t take a double knot spy to see right through lies that you said I’m gonna reach you somehow, even if I end up dead Can I get a price check on the shelf-life of this feeling of dread? Well, I guess I kind of like you sometimes, don’t let it get to your head

Earthquake 02:48
I don't know what's to come with our little act And I know you fake it, baby, I'll take a lap I feel so confident but I can't go on Who am I to tell you, baby? I'll get it wrong You look so lonely, don't you? You look so sad And the million dollar question is "who will crack?" I'm sorry we broke up on your birthday But I had to be single for the holidays You spoke to God through an earthquake I don't want to repent if it isn't Sunday Oh no, it's the same as every day; it's my mistake Our friends debate these things but they can't relate Now I know the end's begun but it feels so long Can you forget me? I'll play along Don't make alarming noises, it's only us You pull me up and down and you push me back I'm sorry we broke up on your birthday But I had to be single for the holidays You spoke to God through an earthquake I don't want to repent if it isn't Sunday

Group Nap 02:54
Sometimes it's hard to keep my feet on the ground, sometimes it's hard not to completely fall down Sometimes I like to keep my head in the clouds; the hot air won't let it come down You're spilling your guts all over the place, you're drawing a face that can't be erased I never love 'em and leave 'em in life, "can you ever show up on time?" Don't you know that you're fooling yourself when you call this a vacation You can't fake the final take even with an invitation If we can find our happiness entirely in somebody else's arms We shouldn't fear the spears of spring or the city's yammering fire alarms If we could get the hang of it entirely it would take too long All we know is the splash of words in passing and falling twigs of song Don't you know that you're fooling yourself when you call this a vacation You can't fake the final take even with an invitation Invitation?

about

Yes Hello Come In and make yourself at home. The disco is getting too druggy so we came home to continue the party here. We can speak openly and the drinks are free.

The tracks of Yes Hello Come In are stories, confessions, and expressions shared among a small group of trusting friends. They share their perspectives of joy and distress, of love, loss, embarrassment, and nascent maturity. The synths, instrumentation, and found sounds adorn their poetic ramblings, and when words fail to capture their spirit, the sonic atmospheres become the centerpiece.

A mellow track from Yes Hello Come In is entitled Must Be Nice. Musically, it was composed around two doorbells on the door of the artist’s apartment that played two different intervals (why there were two doorbells is anyone’s guess). Lyrically, it deals with the profound struggles of vulnerability and change that come with maturity; artifacts of this personal process can be guilt and shame.

A less-mellow track on the record is Ballet Barre. It toys with the feelings of loss and shame through anger reimagined as joy; a schizophrenic self-actualization amidst the entrapment of one’s emotions.
